Barbeque Beef/Pork

This is an easy crock pot recipe. In the last hour or two, if the meat is too liquid, leave the lid off for a while but stir frequently.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 to 2 lb bottom round roast (or pork loin)
  • 1 bottle BBQ sauce
  • garlic, pepper to taste
  • meat tenderizer (seasoned or unseasoned)

Preparation

  • Place roast or pork loin in crock pot.
  • Liberally sprinkle with tenderizer; add other spices, to taste.
  • Pour BBQ sauce over meat.
  • Cook on low if you have 8 to 10 hours or high if you have 4 to 6 hours.
  • After a few hours (6 on low, 3 on high), start checking meat to see if it will start breaking apart with a wooden spoon. Keep checking until all meat is shredded.
  • Serve on sandwich rolls.

Note: if you don't have a crock pot, get one. I doubt I'd attempt shredded BBQ sandwiches without one. I'm sure it's possible, but can't be as easy.
