Here's my story... I was a little kitten with two siblings in a local pet store. All three of us looked alike. When my mommy stopped by with her daughter-in-law, she just had to take a look at us. Well, I jumped up on the glass, asking, very politely, to adopt me. My mommy talked to me and a lady in the store came over and said that it looked like I wanted to go home with her. Well I did!! I tried everything I could but mommy's daughter-in-law said that kitties from the pet stores were not very good. I must have had a powerful effect on her because she came back two days later talking about something that she had a dream about me and that we were meant to be together. She just stared at me and sighed. Two days later she came back again only this time with my daddy. Mommy said I looked so depressed and daddy said that if she must have me then she had to talk with the apartment manager. The next day she met with the apartment manager and was told that pets were not allowed. Mommy was so upset she started crying. The apartment manager felt sorry for mommy and asked her what she wanted. She told the manager about me and then told my mommy to go get me and just don't say anything to anybody. Mommy was so excited! She went directly to the pet store and put me on hold for pickup the very next day. Mommy came first thing when the store opened, picked me up and took me to my new home. We both were so happy! My mommy rescued me from that noisy old pet store. By this time, I had an upper respiratory infection so she took me to the animal doctor called a veternarian or vet for short. Well, we have been together ever since. Even when I was three years old and needed special surgeries for my urinary blockage, she was there for me. She took a part-time job on top of her full-time job to pay for all my expenses. Since she took me to the best hospital here in Indiana, Purdue University, where the care is exceptional, and the costs are high. Now, I'm six years old and in good health thanks to my mommy and my special feline only doctor, Dr. Tim. I get to eat special food called Eukanuba for kitties with FUS (feline urinary syndrome) and drink bottled water. |
