Heinlein

Born July 4, 1997. Gotcha Day December 7, 1997.

Heinlein

My name is Heinlein, and I am a handsome blue and white bicolor kitten, almost a full-grown cat. My human thinks I was born sometime between early July to mid-August 1997, but the silly human my mom cat lives with couldn't remember. So, to pick a day, we picked a day easy to remember. The more important day is my Gotcha Day, the day I picked my human.

My mom cat used to live outside in Manassas, Virginia. We think her humans left her behind when they moved away, but we'll never know.Another human bought the house, though, and it came with a tiny little calico lady in the back yard. That's my mom cat.

One day last summer, my mom decided to go into the house. She promptly made herself comfortable and had a litter of four kittens. I have a pale red brother, named Jaws, who still lives with mom. And two sisters, both calicos, that got homes very quickly. Jaws and I were stuck at home with mom for nearly five months, and the human was just about ready to take us to a shelter, because two kittens was just too much for him.

That's were my human comes into the picture...he saw an ad in the Yahoo Classifieds, and sent an e-mail to Manassas saying he was looking for a boy-kitten to be friends with a baby girl kitten. My future human got a reply from the other human, and drove out to the country to meet me.

That's all it took! My human took one look at me, and fell in love! I moved in with him that same night, and started helping 'Caffrey take care of the silly human. A few months later, daddy got my tale fixed to make sure that 'Caffrey and I stayed just friends, but I don't mind. I like it here, and 'Caffrey is my best friend now.

Please e-mail your rescue story to my dad so we can add it to our page.
