Buffalo Chicken Wings

My sister Janet gave me this recipe years ago. Couldn't be easier, but folks will think you put a lot of time into the wings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 to 2 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 bottle Red Hot hot sauce
  • 1 stick of butter

Preparation:

  1. Melt butter and mix thouroughly with Red Hot
  2. Coat chicken wings with butter sauce
  3. Either...
    • Grill, flipping ocassionally until done or
    • Oven broil, turning every 5 minutes or so.

If broiling, the wings should be done in 15 or 20 minutes, maximum. Cook longer if grilling since you can control the temperature. Wings are done when crispy and starting to brown.

Variations:

  • Serve with blue cheese or ranch dressing for dipping
  • Serve with celery sticks
  • Add some cayenne pepper to the sauce for spicier wings
  • Instead of Red Hot, for milder wings use garlic and just a dash of cayenne in the butter.
